For 26.5 million years, a giant bloodthirsty shark, known as Megalodon, reigned in the world's oceans. Sometimes it seems that nature has not created anything more terrible. The only competitors of Megalodon, during the vast span of his existence, were only toothed whales. Another theoretical opponent of Megalodon is the notorious Kraken. To date, there are numerous documentary evidence that Kraken is a reality. However, meeting a person with him is an extremely rare event. Scientists suggest that Kraken lives at great depth, and those found on the surface of the sea and the remains on the shore are dying animals that sometimes float before death from the abyss into the upper layers of the water. The main weapon of the Kraken are long serpentine tentacles, equipped with numerous rows of suckers. In the movies, giant squids pierce the ship's skin with tentacles, but in reality this is impossible, since they are devoid of a skeleton, so they can only stretch and tear the prey. So can even such a giant squid harm Megalodon? Usually sharks attack their victim in vulnerable places, but Megalodon apparently acted differently. Remains of some victims of Megalodon showed that this predator was ramming its prey. Scientists believe that this way he broke bones and damaged the internal organs of the victim. After this, the predator devoured the immobilized victim. Even if Megalodon's booty was large, the shark always tried to deprive it of its ability to move, biting its fins and tail, and then killed and devoured it. The teeth of Megalodon are a much more perfect instrument of violence against the enemy than the tentacles of Kraken. But he also has a secret weapon - a paralyzing saliva, produced by special glands. Paralyzing the prey with saliva, Kraken drags her into his hole and starts eating slowly. Nevertheless, the large Megalodon will easily deal with the most powerful Kraken. In this situation, Kraken has only one hope of salvation - a thick ink curtain, which allows you to quietly leave the battlefield.
