At least that's what Mariajosé had to say last week about the school bus turned tiny home conversion project.

Besides trying to start an NSync inspire boyband this week, I'm installing our solar racking system. We're opting for Superstrut / Unistrut rather than something like Iron Ridge solar rails. We like to hang on to more of our hard earned money while working with a product that is perfectly suited for the task at hand.

We're using some really awesome components that are designed for solar panels as well as superstrut and unistrut. So why waste money on something else?

We tag teamed different parts of the build, with Mariajosé working on wood components down below. I truly couldn't do it without her.

After making sure the rails were secured, we took advantage of the only warm day in the near future to finally close cell spray foam our school bus conversion. It wasn't that we REALLY wanted to do it when we did, but it was necessary for the continuation of the project. By holding off for a different day we would definitely be pushing off the rest of our remaining project by weeks. Here's where it gets interesting though... the company we bought our kits from... Tiger Foam Spray Insulation, well, they sent us some of the wrong stuff and even as of today we haven't gotten the right kit back.

After foaming, I got the help of my identical twin brother Chaz to help me clean the roof and get it ready for Henry Brand Dura-brite elastomeric roof coating, but with all the rain I just don't think it's time to paint our bus conversion roof just yet.
