‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 Trailer: Penelope And Colin’s Friendship Turns Romantic. Penelope and Colin's friendship is finally about to blossom into something more.

As seen in the over two-minute trailer, Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton reprise their roles as Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton, who are now working together to help her find a husband. This season is based on the fourth book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, in Julia Quinn’s bestselling book series.

“I would not be angry if you found me a lost cause,” Penelope tells her best friend Colin in the clip, to which he responds, “You must not say such things. You are Penelope Featherington. Do not forget that.” Audiences also see Lord Debling’s (Sam Phillips) courtship of Penelope in the Regency-era drama. While she’s getting to know her new suitor, Colin begins to realize that there might be something more between him and Penelope than just friendship. “Mother, do you believe the best foundation for love is friendship?” Colin asks his mother, Lady Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell). “It is rare, but you must follow your heart,” she tells him.

The trailer also features beloved characters such as Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), his new wife Kate (Simone Ashley), Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh), and the Royal Highness Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel), among others. The third season of Bridgerton will debut on Netflix next month in two parts. At the end of the trailer, Lady Whistledown poses two of the biggest overarching questions of Season 3: “What is the primary force that guides us along our paths? Is it our minds or our hearts?”
