A zoetrope creates the illusion of movement from many single frames shown in rapid succession. We created a 3D-printed 3D zoetrope to show the blossoming process of a flower. We produced an animation from 3D-printed lilies. Learn more at: https://holocreators.com/blog/3d-zoet...
On a kids’ playground carousel, we arranged the flowers on a black board and spun it at 60 RPM illuminated with a strobe light (15Hz). The lily flower was scanned using photogrammetry 3D-scanning. The scans were then rebuilt inside a 3D animation software, and 15 3D models were 3D-printed in plastic on an SLS 3D printer.
