Animal research is a controversial topic. It's critical for science and medicine, but is it "right" or ethical? New technologies are allowing scientists to conduct experiments in all kinds of new model systems. So that means that research that depends on animals like flies, mice, rats, monkeys, and more would be obsolete and unnecessary, right? Unfortunately, this is not the case.
