Wheelchair on a Train. Hello,.. Today I am going to show you my day trip to South Florida, specifically Fort Lauderdale and Miami, where we take a ride on Brightline Higher Speed Train.

The entire experience with Brightline today was great, and they really did a nice job making sure everything was wheelchair accessible, even seating on the train.

Our ticket cost $15 bucks for first class (they had a disabled pricing plan), though normally it is $30 I think.

Avoid the Fort Lauderdale International Airport if you're in a wheelchair. We sat there for 45 minutes and could not get a taxi that was wheelchair accessible. My suggestion would be to Fly to Miami International Airport and then take the train to Fort Lauderdale.

I have a spinal cord injury, C5 incomplete and T7, and am paralyzed from the lower chest down, yet everything was so easy for my eo access and navigate, except leaving Fort Lauderdale Airport, as I mentioned above.
