When Atlantic Fellow for Racial Equity, Cedric Brown, noticed the disproportionate impact COVID-19 was having on his community in the United States, he knew he had to act, and applied for a Solidarity Fund Grant to help Black-community serving organizations.

The death of George Floyd a week after the funding came through galavanised the urgency and enormity of what his Black Funders Network faced.

The Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity program supports accomplished leaders from diverse backgrounds to uncover and address the root causes of racial inequality and engage in strategic, long-term collaborative efforts for transformative social change.
