OXBO recently helped install a new 1.8 million pound railroad bridge. The overall scope of the accelerated bridge installation consisted of:

-Lifting the new bridge to install OXBO’s 300 ton skid gear system.
-Removing the existing bridge from its foundations to make room for the new one.
-Skidding the new bridge into place.
-Jacking the new bridge down to elevation and aligning atop the new foundations.

All of which had to happen within a 36 hour outage window!!!

OXBO utilized several pieces of equipment to execute the scope at hand including:

-4-300 ton skid shoes, propelled by a hydraulic push/pull system.
-A unified jacking system.
-An assortment of high capacity jacks varying in heights to achieve a low ending elevation.

The project was completed without incident or injury and ahead of schedule.
