I demonstrate Honda IAC valve cleaning & how to clean throttle body on Honda. The video shows throttle body removal for cleaning. This is done on a 2003 Honda Accord 2.4L and covers 2003 - 2005 Accord for the IAC valve cleaning, while the throttle body cleaning procedure covers for 2003 - 2012 Accord (7th gen / 8th gen) for the throttle body cleaning. The procedure also covers other Honda with the K24A engine e.g. 2003 - 2008 Element and 2003 - 2008 Odyssey.
The video details how to clean an IAC valve and Honda throttle body cleaning. It also covers how to replace IAC valve on these cars and throttle body replacement Honda. The idle air control valve aka IAC valve or IACV controls idle speed and when clogged or dirty is a frequent cause of a rough idle with no check engine light. Cleaning the throttle body improves the response of the throttle or accelerator pedal. This is one tune up that can improve the idling, gas mileage and overall performance of a car. A potential DIY fix.
