Freedom MAGA Rally for Trump in Beverly Hills 9.12.2020

Supporters of Donald J. Trump rallied in Beverly Hills, CA on Saturday, September 12th, to support his November re-election bid for president of the United States. The MAGA promoters - not your typical Beverly crowd - gathered at a wildfire-smoke-hazed Beverly Hills park before marching through the streets of the Beverly Hills shopping district.

There was no obvious attention paid to their local or otherwise origins, and there was a remarkable absence of Los Angeles Sheriff's Department teams conducting surveillance, as is typically the case in south-central L.A. An unconcerned handful of LAPD motorcycle cops chatted amicably amongst themselves nearby, sans riot gear.

Eschewing the Covid-19 virus-related posted public health warning signs in the park - declaring social distancing and mask-wearing public mandates - the mostly unmasked MAGA cohorts sauntered on the grass, waving at passing motorists, some of whom honked in response. To date, the Covid-19 virus has killed over 14,300 Californians.

Part of the crowd returned to Beverly Gardens Park on Santa Monica Blvd to continue their endorsement of the current President. "Trump 2020" banners predominated in the group of several dozen apparently peaceful bemused Trump enthusiasts.

One BLM counter-protestor was taken away by LAPD officers after a shouting match with Trump backers. He was allegedly detained for being in the street.
