2001's Windows XP brought visual styles to Windows. During its development, Microsoft used many, such as Watercolour & Candy, before XP’s final visual style, Luna, was revealed. A similar process happened during the development of its successor, Windows Vista (2006), with styles such as Plex & Slate used before the announcement of its final visual style, Aero.
