About the Speaker:

Doctor Amber is a Student Success Coach and CEO of the fast-growing Student Success Series, where she coaches students to overcome systemic and social obstacles by using valuable study skills and techniques, while encouraging students to develop new study habits. As an African American woman who achieved her doctorate despite the lack of resources, she defeated the odds. When she finished college, she developed a set of tips and tricks in order to excel at anything in school. With her Bachelors in Exercise Science and Doctorate in Physical Therapy, she is an accomplished student and mentor.

She has over 10 years of experience assisting, encouraging, and coaching other students towards success. She has helped many students get into college, receive scholarships, achieve graduate level degrees, and been a mentor for those who are interested in furthering their education. She helps Black and Brown students in underprivileged communities that are in need of more academic resources, similar to the community she grew up in South of Atlanta.

She enables and equips students to achieve academic success by providing proven academic resources and reliable study tools through coaching sessions and interactive workshops. Through her ten-week Student Success Series workshop, she has helped students improve their time management, increase their preparedness for college, and successfully take effective notes, amongst other study tools. When she is not helping students improve on their academic journey, Doctor Amber enjoys dancing, singing karaoke, bowling, painting, and watching her favorite tv shows and movies over and over for the 1,000th time.





About Pre-Health Shadowing:

Pre-Health Shadowing was created in response to the ongoing pandemic. Due to COVID-19, many in-person shadowing and clinical opportunities have been annulled. This has disrupted the paths of thousands of pre-health students as these hours are crucial for the academic and professional development needed for a successful health program applicant. Students interested in pursuing a career in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, research, physical therapy, or are just curious are encouraged to attend.

Pre-Health Shadowing was built to accommodate the lives of students, giving options to attend the live Zoom or review the video at a later time. Students can receive a certificate verifying their participation in the program.

We host various health professionals from different backgrounds to talk about their job, education, extracurricular activities, admissions process, daily tasks, interesting cases, tips, and more. Check out the schedule to view upcoming events.
