The C.S. Lewis Institute in Chicago welcomed Dr. Andy Bannister, who holds a Ph.D. in Islam studies, to address these and other important questions. Dr. Bannister is the director and lead apologist for Solas Centre for Public Christianity and an adjunct lecturer at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto. He speaks regularly throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe, and frequently around the world. From churches to universities, business forums to TV and radio, Dr. Bannister regularly addresses Christian and non-Christian audiences on issues relating to faith, culture, politics and society.

Dr. Bannister is the author of several books: an academic book, An Oral-Formulaic Study of the Qur’an (a groundbreaking and innovative study that reveals many of the ways the Qur'an was first composed), and two popular-level books: The Atheist Who Didn’t Exist (a humorous engagement with the New Atheism), and his latest, Do Muslims and Christians Worship the Same God? which has its origins in this talk.
