The 2024 Lexus NX450h+ is the luxury version of the Rav4 Prime. But don’t let its underpinnings deceive you. This is much more than just a Rav4 with a Lexus badge.

The underpinnings of the NX450h 2024 are that of the Rav4 Prime. It utilizes the same 2.5L naturally aspirated engine with electric motors providing extra power. Total system output is 304 hp (226 kW) but Lexus won’t say the total system torque. From behind the steering wheel, I can tell you that the torque is plenty with a brisk 0-100 km/h time of around 6 seconds.

But when you don’t need all the power, the 2024 Lexus NX 450h+ can drive for up to 61 km (38 miles) on electricity. The electric motors have enough grunt to get the heavy crossover up to speed without impending anyone behind you.

The 2024 Lexus NX450h+ has one of the lower starting prices among luxury plug-in hybrid SUVs. It starts at $59,900 CAD ($59,405 USD) with this demo vehicle costing $77,205 CAD ($63,970 USD). Here in B.C. the NX450h+ is eligible for up to $7,000 in rebates.
