I've been on the lookout for a Shinkansen 0 series train set for many years. I remember seeing pictures of them in a book titled "Locomotives" when I was younger and was always fascinated by the design.

As of recently I found a set at a decent price on eBay and after purchasing it the seller contacted me to let me know he also had the rest of the passenger cars.

I wasn't sure what condition the cars would be in as apparently they were involved in a flood many years ago. Fortunately they all turned out to be in decent condition despite some dents.

As I've experienced with nearly all brass products the locomotives needed some cleaning and oiling before they ran properly. After doing so I was amazed by the speed this set could achieve.
