How to tell interviewers you were fired or canned without using the word terminated. It happens, people get fired. Chances are that even the person who is interviewing you was fired at one time. Getting fired form a job is not necessarily a bad thing and does not have to hinder your chances for getting a job somewhere else. It is best if you can describe your termination using some other word because fired and terminated are such negative words.
