The autonomous (self-driving car) will radically change transportation. When combined with mobile internet and cloud technologies and business models like ride-sharing and car-sharing (Uber, Lyft, Zipcar) it will radically change the urban landscape and disrupt several industries.

Tony Seba's new book “Clean Disruption of Energy and Transportation” projects that by 2030:
• All new mass-market vehicles will be electric.
• All of these vehicles will be autonomous (self-driving) or semi-autonomous.
• We will need 80% fewer cars.
- Up to 80% of parking spaces and highways will be redundant
• Taxis as we know them will be obsolete.
• The Car Insurance industry will be disrupted.
• The concept of car ownership will be obsolete.

This is a video clip from Tony Seba's "Auckland Conversations" presentation in Auckland, New Zealand on July 15th, 2014.
