LA Splash Magazines had an exclusive interview today with stars Teri Polo as Stef and Sherri Saum as Lena in the TV Series "The Fosters" from AbcFamily at the ATX Television Festival 2015. Teri Polo: Well! there is a lot of teenage instinct and drama as usual, Lena and Stef are still trying to figure out things out, you know...they are having a few bounce in the road, Callie is trying to figure out how she feels about Roberts Quinn and Sophia Quinn, they are kind of new in her life. She is also introduced to a new character at the drop-in center, Mariana is as usual trying to find herself, and Jude and Connor find themselves discovering the relationship together and exploring that, and what it means for them and to navigate that at school and with Connor’s father who is not so accepting. It’s such a new role in a new relationship and this relationship is even heightened because they are only 13 year old boys, and there is them discovering their sexuality, you know...It’s a big thing, and also a new thing on TV anyway to see this kind of relationship portrayed and I think it is a big step forward.

Yenis Monterrey: We are touching different topics in “The Fosters” about diversity, are we going to see more controversial topics that we haven’t seen in the two previous seasons? Any spoilers? [laughs]
Teri Polo (Stef Foster): [laughs] I think I’ll be fired if I tell you any spoilers for the next season.
Sherri Saum ( Lena Adams): There is going to be a prom happening on the show that is going definitely an unusual prom something that maybe we haven’t seen before, It’s around the theme that we have in our show that is about inclusion and representation and celebration.
Yenis Monterrey: What do you think about Austin-TX and about having your screening in Austin-TX at the festival?
Teri Polo (Stef Foster): [laughs] It’s very crazy, and it’s definitely a party town. I was in bed last night reading a book and drinking champagne [laughs].
Sherri Saum ( Lena Adams): We didn’t have enough time, we arrived Friday night and we are leaving Monday morning, we got here just quick, quick, quick, we definitely we come back.
