By request, my Dollar Store Video Face Mask! This is our favorite 3D Mask, and with the added mods of an all-in-one elastic casing & optional nose bridge, they are our favorite style to sew and wear.
ONE pattern piece, NO center seam, easy to make, and easy to fit ALL noses!

I prefer a wire, but Rob rocks his without one, and it's still a good seal. I like to add a folded paper towel right inside the mask if I'm going grocery shopping--it's an easy, tossable filter, that keeps the mask wearable for lighter outdoor exercise.

(Also, I'm not a scientist. I'm a Sewist.)

MEASUREMENTS mentioned:

PAPER SIZE:

8 1/2 by 11 inches (standard sheet of paper)
Fold on the long side first (HOT DOG FOLD)
then the short side (HAMBURGER FOLD)!

MASK MEASUREMENTS:

4 1/4 on the long (hot dog) fold
2 1/2 on the short (hamburger) fold
1 1/2 on the opposite edge of hamburger fold

In the video, I say the long measurement is 4 1/2 inches....while marking it with my ruler at 4 1/4 inches. This is because numbers in almost any form get drunk in my head. Either measurement will be fine--that just gives you a little more real estate from ear to ear. Mahalo to Laura Whittaker for catching that!
