Dr. Robert Fernandez grew up in New Jersey as an undocumented immigrant and went on to earn his PhD in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry at Yale University. In this interview with YouTooBio's Jayme Dyer, Dr. Fernandez shares the challenges he encountered and how he learned to succeed as an undocumented Latino student navigating higher education. He co-founded Cientifico Latino, an organization dedicated to providing resources for students from under-represented backgrounds to help them navigate - and thrive! - in biological and biomedical higher education programs.
