The Berlin Wall was built overnight on the 13th August 1961, then greatly Expanded. The East German Communist Government, a 'satellite' of the Soviet USSR, wanted to Stop it's Citizens from Leaving, but said it was Built to "Keep out the West", and all it's decadence' I went through "Checkpoint Charlie" at the Wall in 1970.
