The Qur'an has 65 geographical references. Within this number, only 9 places or people are named. The problem lies with the location of these references. They are all 600 miles north of Mecca. This is a huge span of land that is simply much too far from Mecca. Besides that, there have been no artifacts found in the foundations of Mecca that support the Quranic claim that Mecca was the center of the prophets and history itself.
