I have shortened and re-composed the original poem by Huang Yanlu, a traveler and Shi Tao's friend to adapt to the new painting - in which I replace the original figures with a person practicing a Taichi movement called "White Crane Spreading its Wings". 搔首青天近紫虛，
Scratching head, azure sky/heaven near, purple emptiness,
凌高四顧意何如。
Soaring high, four glances, intention what like.
拖藍曳翠山千疊，
Drag blue, trail green, mountains thousand layers,
吐納成虹看海氣.
Breathe out, breathe in, form rainbow, watch sea mist.

甲辰+Artist Signature 4) I added a foot note “何下脱如” in the end of my inscription to replace a missing character ”如” after "何", instead of messing up the artist aspect of the calligraphy. This is a learning opportunity of showing the class a common way that the ancient Chinese scholar-artist would do to make corrections to their inscriptions.
