I'm calling this my first official day of my Ezra staple-gun lightsaber build. I'm finally feeling fully settled into the new house, and into my new "office". I feel comfortable laying out all my supplies and tools and leaving them there for the next day. So... it's really happening this time. lol.

And even though I wanted to start off easy, I immediately ran into a problem - I have no way of knowing if my connections work until it's all put together.

I hooked up my accent LED and pressed the opposite ends of the wires to some batteries, but nothing. No light. But when I hover my voltage detector over the connections, it says there's something there. So maybe the connections DO work? I don't know for sure.

I'm guessing that because I'm using a neopixel LED for my accent lighting (the blaster fire), it needs some sort of signal ASIDE from the battery to tell it to turn on. Which means I won't know if it works until I hook it up the the CFX board, and then hook up the board to a battery. But I'm not even close to that point in the process yet. I was going to save the battery for last.
