Dual res delete done! Had both of the original Sankei resonators excised one piece, replaced by a straight pipe, with flanges added to the straight pipe and original piping so it can be reversed if needed in the future.

Quite a few people asked for sound samples so here they are. All of them are done in comfort mode (I really hate the fake +R sound) and valve fuse removed, windows closed in interior shots (except the cold starts), and I’ve tried to keep the location of the samples similar too. Car is otherwise stock.

I think it’s alright! Not too loud definitely, but loud enough to add a bit of spice and character. At low rpms reversing especially it can sound like a diesel land cruiser lol but I don’t mind that either. Certainly the in cabin sound difference was noticeable but isn't as dramatic as the exterior (real life sound is more noticeable than video though, recorded on iPhone 14 Pro Max). Burbles and pops happen occasionally when shifting first to second. Last clip was an extra pull and redline because why not.

Virtually zero drone. Only time it would be droney boomy is the overrun / decelerating around 4.5k to 3.5k. Otherwise very liveable and tasteful in my opinion. I didn't bother to include highway 100kmh samples because honestly you can barely hear it (tyre and wind noise are louder than the exhaust when cruising on highway) which is a good thing. For $280 I cannot complain tbh. Next up is a cold air intake!

For those curious, straight piped (no mufflers or resonators) it’d sound like this video, too raspy and rattly for my liking and potentially illegal lol. With the dual res delete I can easily keep it quiet by keeping rpms low when needed to not be sus. For. More crackles and pops I hear you'd need the DE5 Interga catless downpipe and a tune potentially.
