The new Lotus Evija is a limited production electric sports car to be manufactured by British automobile manufacturer Lotus. Unveiled in July 2019, it is the first electric vehicle to be introduced and manufactured by the company. Codenamed "Lotus Type 130", production of the Evija will be limited to 130 units. The new Lotus Evija is powered by a 70 kWh battery pack developed in conjunction with Williams Advanced Engineering, with electric motors supplied by Integral Powertrain. Each of the four individual motors are placed at the wheels and are rated at 368 kW (500 PS; 493 hp), for a combined total output of 1,470 kW (2,000 PS; 1,970 hp) and 1,700 N⋅m (1,254 lb⋅ft) of torque.
Lotus claims that the new Lotus Evija 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in under 3 seconds, from new Lotus 0–299 km/h (186 mph) in under 9 seconds, and achieve a new Lotus top speed of over 320 km/h (200 mph).
The Evija is equipped with new Lotus magnesium wheels with diameters of 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear. The car uses Pirelli Trofeo R tyres and AP Racing carbon ceramic disc brakes.
The Evija prototype underwent high-speed testing in November 2019. A video was released on 21 November 2019 ahead of its debut later that day at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Lotus said it was planning thousands of miles of further road testing for the car, on circuits in Europe and on Lotus's own track at Hethel, England. Lotus Evija production began Summer 2020.

Requests for personalization on every aspect of the new Lotus Evija bespoke – from striking exterior paint in new Lotus Evija color options to highly detailed Lotus Evija interior options – are all part of the enhanced ordering process.
Production of the Lotus Evija will start later in 2020, and the first year’s allocation is already designated to customers around the world.
The starting point for every new Lotus Evija car’s specification is an all-new touch-screen configurator. Designed especially for Lotus, its ultra-powerful graphics processor creates stunning high- definition ‘photo-realistic’ images and animations. Developed using advanced gaming software, these allow the buyer to build and personalize their own new Lotus from the ground up and visualize it from every angle, inside and out.
Thanks to an advanced imaging technique known as ray-tracing, they can even place their new Lotus Evija into multiple environments around the world to see how localized sunlight levels will affect their choices. The final element is the creation of a fully personalized ‘360 degree fly-through’ film exclusive to each new Lotus customer.
