Holly Courtier was traveling the country in a converted van and was visiting Zion National Park. She took a shuttle to the Grotto picnic area. Armed with a backpack filled with essentials, she ventured into the heart of Zion. Holly found a secluded spot, strung up her hammock between two sturdy trees in a vegetated area near the Virgin River, and affixed it. But as she went to sit on it, it swung back, causing her to hit her head on a tree. Her sense of direction failed her, and despite her best efforts, she found herself lost in Zion's clutches. As dehydration and exhaustion took their toll, Holly's situation grew dire. And as the days went on, this ordeal would become a compelling one as questions arose about her disappearance.
