Unfortunately my good friend and aviation mentor Paul recently had to make a forced landing in his beautiful TP51 Mustang replica. Spoiler Alert - He walked away completely uninjured but, unfortunately, the aircraft is a different story... There was an engine fire and, in Paul's words, "I had to put it on the ground quickly as the cockpit was rapidly becoming an un livable environment". Paul graciously allowed me to have a fire side chat with him where he shares his history with this beautiful aircraft and the crash in its entirety. Join Paul and I as we discuss the story. What went right and what went wrong and I think you will agree, there is a lot that every pilot can learn here.

Thank you again to Paul for inviting me into his home and for sharing his story so that we can all learn from it and fly safer. This episode is a little longer than most but it is worth your time.

I fly for fun and adventure and I strive to be the best, safest and most professional pilot that can be at all times but I am far from perfect. I have not been flying for a long time (since April 2015) but I always strive to be better. This channel is part of that process and another piece of the puzzle for me. I fly with as many people as I can and I seek out instructors and mentors whenever possible and I recommend that you do as well. I make sure that everyone I share the cockpit with with fits my style of flying and learning and that they can help me take my adventure higher.

Producing this YouTube channel has made me grow as a pilot and for that I am truly thankful. Scouring through all the footage has shown me my strengths and weaknesses and that process has been humbling to say the least. I recommend videoing your own flights, watching them with an open mind and maybe even sharing them. There has been a lot of great feedback and wisdom in the comments on my videos as well. I always appreciate the constructive and almost always positive feedback. Keep it coming!

Please note that my videos are highly edited and some of the context of these flights is altered in order to keep the story moving. These videos are for entertainment purposes only and should not be considered a replacement for professional instruction by a certified flight instructor.

Fly safe and have fun!
