Emily in Paris is an American romantic comedy-drama series created by Darren Star for Netflix. The series follows an aspiring marketing executive Emily Cooper, an American who moves to Paris to provide an American point of view to a French marketing firm. It premiered on October 2, 2020 to positive reviews in the United States.
In January 2022, the series was renewed for a third and fourth season by Netflix. The third season premiered on December 21, 2022.
Production for the fourth season was scheduled to begin sometime in the Summer or Fall of 2023. However, due to the ongoing strikes, production has been put on hold. Until the strike action comes to an end production will not resume.
The third and fourth seasons of Emily in Paris were originally scheduled to be filmed back to back. However, this didn’t happen.
With the strikes officially over, the series is back in pre-production, and filming is expected to get underway in January 2024. With filming expected to end in April 2024, there’s a chance we could see Emily in Paris return by the end of 2024. A late 2024 or early 2025 is most likely.
