This is how I cut and assemble aftermarket pushrods. Now what I don't show is cleaning and blowing off. But you can see how and why I get exact results. Each pushrod is cut to same length and once assembled makes it easy when setting up valve lash. I like 1.5 turns in from fully backed out adjusters when setting up valve lash. This tends to place the adjuster in correct location for oil hole to feed rocker shaft. What am I talking about? remove your adjuster and measure the depth of oil transfer hole then check when installed. its extremely important to feed necessary oil to rocker shft. Also adjuster placement influences the ratio or fulcrum point. Yes you can change the ratio of your rockers just by changing depth of adjusters. You will not want adjuster hanging out as this will decrease ratio and be more prone to failure.
