since filming and sharing this video, i learned that pocahontas is believed to be based on a real life young girl named matoaka. her story was very sad, violent, and had no "happy ending" like that in the Disney movie.
i sincerely mean no disrespect to anyone in sharing my cover of this beautiful song.
i always loved this film as a little girl, and thought of pocahontas as one of the fiercer and braver heroines of the Disney princess line.
