Popular Tool Brands Who Makes What Tools and Who Owns What Tool Company. Many popular tool brands have made big names for themselves, are they more than just a brand? Is your favorite tool brand or product line actually a company or even more, do they actually manufacture tools or just outsource them? In this video, we will explain if your brand is a company or tool manufacture while doing a toolbox tour and putting away many of the common tools you may have around your house, work, job site or see while frequenting your favorite home improvement stores.

We may go a little deeper on some Brands and Companies or all if they are all three with some back history on buyouts or mergers. Many things can happen from year to year and a company can change hands during acquisitions, mergers, spin-offs, or worse move all manufacturing overseas or completely close all operations like Shop-Vac did this year in 2020.

Please note that this video is not a full list of tool brands and tool companies, but rather what I can recall and have available. It is a pretty high level and I have not researched Security and Company filings or quarter/yearly tax reports. This highlights tool brands for construction, industrial, DIY use with a focus mainly on hand tools and some power tool brand makers.
