In this video we are laying down wire mesh to strengthen our concrete but it also acts as a place to tie down our radiant-in-slab heat. The wire mesh has two jobs to do, so placement is important. We placed 5/8" rebar in the footer section of the monolithic slab. This helps with the strength of the footer. Placement is also critical to gain the most strength from the rebar. I'll also go over how I bent the 5/8" rebar because it's not easy without a rebar bender.
