The all-electric Mercedes EQB has some seriously strong rivals in the form of the Tesla Model Y and the Audi Q4 e-tron, but the EQB is the only 7-seater in the UK.

On the surface, the EQB looks a bit like a cut-and-shut car. The front end looks like the entry-level EQA electric car, while the rest of the car shares the same outline as the GLB. That's because the EQB is built on the GLB's platform, only Mercedes has moved the battery to below the cabin to maximise interior space and weight distribution. The EQB comes in twin-motor form with two outputs: 228hp and 292hp, while the range is the same across both models at 257 miles. At £53,000 it's not cheap, but could this be the most practical electric car for less than £100,000?
