In this last episode, we speak to Archbishop Emeritus John Baptist Odama about the contentious matter regarding the appointment of a non-Acholi as the Metropolitan Archbishop of Gulu.
On March 22, His Holiness Pope Francis appointed Nebbi Diocese Bishop Rt Rev Raphael p’mony Wokorach as the new Metropolitan Archbishop of Gulu, replacing Odama who retired after 25 years of heading the Gulu Archdiocese.
Gulu Diocese was created in 1950 and since then, no native from Acholi Subregion has occupied the Office of a Bishop.
