It should have AT LEAST 345HP. So the previous claims of 400 HP is still a possibility.

It's going to be powered by a turbo version of the new BRZ engine. The FA24. But a turbo FA24 like in the legacy XT and outback XT. With more horsepower and probably a bigger turbo. We shall see.

And it should have a manual transmission like all of the previous STI's.

This STI should be released mid to late 2022 as either a 2022 or a 2023 model.

With car manufacturers moving towards electrification, the likelihood of another rumbling STI is very low...

It is sad to see the rumors on the STI. No more subaru rumble. No more loud apexi n1 exhausts. The Evo is already gone and now the STI. I wonder when the GTR will be cut... Hearing the spooling turbos out of these japanese classics are an iconic noise. JDM noises over electric Jetsons noises.
