Life begins on a journey that has never been portrayed before in such amazing detail: The process of human conception, development and birth.

Once the sperm penetrates the egg, it pulls the sperm head inside. An image from the fertilized egg itself displays the sperm head and afterwards the release of the genetic material. By combining the genetic material of the mother and father, a new cell is created. The parts of this cell, now called zygotes, are shown in detail in this amazing video.

As the egg enters the fallopian tube, muscle contractions and tiny twigs move to the uterus. An endoscopic view of the uterine tube reveals the complicated aspects of an organ whose diameter is twice the thickness of a human hair and five inches in length. The whole process of ovulation is made possible by hormones, which form colorful, complex motifs when crystallized.

A series of images display the embryo in successive stages of development describing basic observable structures that will lead to the mature parts of the body that are in progress. After seven weeks of growth, the embryo is observed to make small hand movements. In ten weeks, with its characteristics being more clearly defined, it is called an embryo.
