Atlantic Fellow for Racial Equity, Constance Mogale used a grant from the Atlantic Institute grant to help beekeepers in her area of Ventersdorp, South Africa.

Before COVID, Constance and her community were aware of food insecurity, but this became more apparent during the pandemic.

In an area full of bees, Constance set up a project to harvest honey, helping the community be more independent, and resilient.
