देवी माँ सरस्वती का यह मन्त्र नमस्ते शारदे देवी बुद्धि, विद्या और ज्ञान प्रदान करने वाला मन्त्र है। इसका हर रोज पाठ करने से मनुष्य को ज्ञान, विद्या और बुद्धि की प्राप्ति होती है। यहाँ इस मन्त्र का 108 बार पाठ माता के सूंदर चित्रों, मधुर आवाज और लिरिक्स के साथ दिया जा रहा है। जिसके माध्यम से व्यक्ति सुविधापूर्वक इस मन्त्र को सुन सकता है व इसका नित्य पाठ कर सकता है।

माता सरस्वती का ये दिव्य मन्त्र वसंत पंचमी के दिन पाठ करने से दिव्य फल प्रदान करता है।

देवी माँ सरस्वती हमारी प्रमुख देवियों में से एक हैं। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि सृष्टि की रचना करने के बाद ब्रह्मा जी ने अपने मुख से माँ सरस्वती को उत्पन्न किया था। इसलिए इनको ब्रह्मा जी की मानसपुत्री भी कहा जाता है। माता सरस्वती को विद्या, संगीत (स्वर) एवं कला की देवी माना जाता है। इनको श्वेत वर्ण अति प्रिय है, इसलिए इनको सदैव सफ़ेद वस्त्रों में दिखाया जाता हैं। ये अपने गले में एक सफ़ेद मोतियों की माला पहने होती है। चतुर्भुजी माँ सरस्वती एक हाथ में वेद और एक में माला रखती है। साथ ही शेष दोनो हाथों से यह वीणा पकड़े रहती हैं। सरस्वती माता का वाहन मोर है।

सरस्वती देवी का सम्बन्ध सरस्वती नदी से भी माना जाता है तथा वैदिक काल में सरस्वती नदी ही सबसे महत्वपूर्ण नदी थी। इसको परम पवित्र नदी की संज्ञा दी जाती थी। ऋग्वेद में इन्हे केवल नदी देवी या देवीतमा कहा गया है। किन्तु कालान्तर में इसी के किनारे वैदिक ज्ञान का विस्तार होने की वजह से विद्या और ज्ञान की देवी माना जाने लगा। ब्राह्मणों द्वारा ग्रथों में सरस्वती को वाक् अर्थात वाणी की देवी भी कहा गया है। फिर समय के साथ साथ यह धीरे धीरे बुद्धि की देवी भी कहलाने लगी।

माघ मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की पंचमी तिथि को वसंत पंचमी के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इस दिन बुद्धि और कला का वरदान माँगते हुए श्रद्धालु देवी सरस्वती की विशेष पूजा अर्चना करते है। बच्चों का अक्षर ज्ञान भी इसी दिन से आरम्भ करने की परम्परा रही है। किन्तु समय के साथ बदली परिस्थितियों में अब विद्यारम्भ संस्कार को लोग भूलते जा रहे हैं। लेकिन शिक्षण संस्थाओं, नाट्य संगीत विद्यालयों आदि के सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आरंभ आज भी प्रायः सरस्वती वन्दना से ही किया जाता है।

In Rigveda, she has been called simply river goddess or Devitama. But in the course of time, due to the expansion of Vedic knowledge on this side, she was considered as the goddess of learning and knowledge. Saraswati is also called by Brahmins in the texts, that is, the goddess of speech. Then with the passage of time, she gradually came to be called the goddess of wisdom.

The fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Magha month is celebrated as Vasant Panchami. On this day, devotees offer special prayers to Goddess Saraswati, seeking the blessings of wisdom and art. Children's alphabet knowledge has also been a tradition to start from this day. But in the changed circumstances with the passage of time, now people are forgetting Vidyarambh Sanskar. But cultural programs of educational institutions, theater music schools etc. are started even today with Saraswati Vandana.
