A new photograph of Prince Louis taken by his mother has been released to mark his sixth birthday.

The photo was taken in the last few days in Windsor and, after controversy over changes to a Mother's Day family picture, is understood to be unedited.

It's thought William and Kate released the image as a way to thank those who sent good wishes while also protecting their privacy, as the Princess of Wales undergoes cancer treatment.
