In this video Dr. Hilsden reacts to Chamath Palihapitiya and a few of his takes from the all-in podcast.
Chamath asserts that advances in AI judgement will dramatically reduce the error rate in our health system.
Dr. Hilsden responds by pointing out that most doctors and healthcare team members make the right choice when they have good data. The opportunities, therefore, come from improving the systems of communication, or tools that reduce the cognitive load of doctors.
Too often investments are focused on what I would say are moonshot goals, that make for great headlines but really have very little impact on the actual practice in medicine.
