Each week I spend hours upon hours studying every word and every move of famous charmers around the world—whether they're musicians, politicians, comedians, actors, or artists. My goal is to learn and teach you the underlying magic behind these people. I don't care about the superficial—I'm usually diving into the person's psyche and finding what gives that je ne sai quoi.

This week, I set out to do exactly that with Robert Pattinson. What I found was unexpected. Did you know how awkward Robert gets? There were interviews I didn't include where people were genuinely confused at what he'd said because he was so jumbled and shy. But we don't admire people like Robert in spite of his anxiety—we admire him for what he can do with this anxiety. He talks about how he actually ENJOYS putting himself through hell in movies. He wants to feel something—and make his work meaningful. Which is why his past couple of movies (The Lighthouse, Good Time) have been so interesting. I really wish that if more people used anxiety as a tool, and became a master of their own anxiety, the world would be a much more content, productive place.
