I have sold my project car Ford Focus RS Red Edition! What could be better for a final drive than going flat out at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, exactly as it was always intended. What a journey it's been with this Shmeemobile, but it's now going to be heading to a new home.

Over the last 2 years, my Ford Focus RS has been a huge project car and a very exciting journey. It started in early 2018 with a collection day featuring all 3 of my Focus RS cars at the time, before progressing through a host of modifications to the interior, exterior, engine and much more.

The first stop was to Prototrim for a bespoke Alcantara interior, before venturing to Dub Customs to install the Ventus Veloce carbon fibre aero kit. Huge upgrades came from Mountune with an engine rebuild to 500hp, with intercooler, new turbo and more. It's also has plenty more including an Xforce Varex exhaust, BBS FI-R wheels, SS Tuning steering wheel, carbon fenders from Custom Carbon NL and a list that stretches out far beyond.

When the project started it was never the intention that the car would be a permanent Shmeemobile, and in fact it's been in the garage for longer than originally expected. Of course this is thanks in part to the Nurburgring plans earlier this year being unable to come together with the obvious travel restrictions, but I was not going to let the car go until I'd had the opportunity to put it on the Ring for a couple of good laps, and thankfully that time has now arisen.

Shmarc150 brought it out from the UK, where it has been awaiting an opportunity to undergo a few laps, which just so happen to have fallen on a day with the full Endurance loop available to add another flavour to the experience. During Touristenfahrten, with normal road rules applying, this is where it all starts to make sense as the combination of the power and 4WD help to push on at a remarkable rate of speed for such a car. There's no question it's an awesome car, but it's time now for it to move on to a new home where it will continued to be joined. In the meantime both my Heritage RS and Ford GT will be representing the Ford corner of the garage for the permanent future.
