Certain Parts of Medicare Part B will be changing in 2023 based on a proposed rule, as well as cost redetermination for the new Alzheimer's medication Aduhelm.
Currently Medicare Part B enrollment periods have more limitations, and may make you wait for a delay in Part B coverage based on when you enroll. The new proposed rule would change some of these enrollment period effective dates in 2023 to allow coverage sooner, without as many effective date delays. Additionally, new Part B special enrollment periods will be granted for folks with special life event circumstances.
