I do a lot of 3D resin printing and get through plenty of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) when cleaning prints. To reduce expense, I clean, recycle and reuse my IPA extending its working life and saving money. It's easy to do and works very well.
For a while I've been thinking about cleaning IPA through distillation, but it's a very dangerous experiment which I discuss here. Remember, with everything done, my recommendation for distillation was clear - don't do it. Even though we're refining an existing, non-consumable alcohol here, the distilling of alcohol is often a legal grey area and that's for a good reason... it's a very dangerous process. Ignore silly claims like 'the government only wants its tax,' boiling alcohols are highly reactive and very flammable. Recycle by filtering, yes, but leave distillation to the professionals. Your health and wellbeing are worth far more than the price of a bottle of IPA, so don't take the risk.

** SAFETY **
Don't place your IPA in direct sunlight. There's plenty of UV even in shaded areas. IPA boils at a surprisingly low temperature so avoid heat sources. Ensure containers are well marked 'do not drink' and store away from innocent hands. As for distillation, this is best left to experienced professionals as should be avoided by well meaning amateurs.
