For the first time in a while, $SPY broke below the crucial $500 level! It ended up trading back above it as the day went on. Traders are becoming more fearful in the short term, and you can see the de-risking happening right in front of your eyes. This is especially true with the big "chip" stocks. $ASML dropped quite a bit and dragged other chip stocks with them as they reported "not the best" earnings. Keep a close eye on the chip stocks as Taiwan Semiconductors reports tomorrow morning. This will also be a huge report for the chip stocks.
