Featured is the excellent and instructive opening trap that was played in the chess game between Bobby Fischer and Samuel Reshevsky from the 1958/59 U.S. Chess Championship. The opening is a Sicilian, Accelerated Dragon with Reshevsky attempting to exchange his knight for Fischer’s light-squared bishop on move 8. Fischer’s continuation must have been a great surprise to Reshevsky, who after only 12 moves, was without a queen and losing to the 15-year-old Fischer.

I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
