Throughout the United States, there are many beloved tourist railroads filled with amazing scenery and very eventful rides. Perhaps one of the most popular and scenic in the Southwest, and essentially the United States, would be the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Based out of Durango, Colorado, the D&S has been operating continuously since 1981, transporting passengers up to Silverton, Colorado through the beautiful San Juan mountains and forest. During the 2022 Summer Season, there's only one steam-powered train that runs to Silverton daily, as there's one diesel-powered excursion. Thus with only one steam-powered train, it makes it the most popular among railfans and tourists alike. The 14-car consist is guaranteed to be fully booked. With this in mind, every train to Silverton this season has been a doubleheader. Whether being both of the railroad's operational K-28s #473 and #476, or one of the K-28s with either K-36s #482 or #480. We had an amazing time in the San Juans capturing these beautiful machines working their way through the scenery. So please, sit back, relax, and enjoy this production on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.

Please check out my friends who came out here to chase this amazing railroad!
