I want to figure out if the iPhone LOG video is really that good, or if a full sized camera like the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro...*inhales*...is really worth the extra price difference. That said, the iPhone ain't cheap either. After hours of testing as a basic camera user, here are my results. To keep it short, the iPhone does really well, but using a full sized camera does have it's benefits.

Side notes: The LUT used in the 6K Pro video is not the Kondor Blue LUT. I was confused and thought it was, but it's just the normal Gen 5 to Extended Video LUT built into the camera. (Can't correct this because I messed up all my LUTs via FCP some how and the project file is ruined. I am sad too.) Another thing is that the 6K Pro is BT.709 (at least when translated from BRAW to ProRes) while the iPhone is BT.2020. As stated, I am not a pro at color grading, and technically shooting, so your mileage may vary. Regardless, full sized camera is better. Lastly, the 6K Pro is a Super35 sensor, so there is a crop factor to account for. For example, iPhone shoots a "24mm equivalent" while the 6K Pro has a roughly 1.55x crop factor. So the 18mm feels like a 28mm lens. A full frame will give you the full 18mm.
