How many high profile money laundering schemes are there? How do they keep getting away with this?? When you hear the words money laundering, you probably immediately think of drug cartels, Ozark, and Breaking Bad. However, a lot of money laundering occurs amongst society's elite class, not just the textbook "criminal." Billionaires, world governments, politicians, corporations, they all work hand in hand in accomplishing highly complex schemes that launder public money offshore, and both the Panama and Pandora papers expose this. However, there are a couple of schemes that have went under the radar even though they have been leaked and exposed. 2 schemes that have come out of Russia: The Russian Laundromat and the Troika Laundromat! These two schemes add up to over $550 billion laundered out of the Russian Treasury and across banks and tax havens spreading span of the entire globe. This was a global operation that involved society's elite from around the world, not just in Russia, and it involves some very questionable tactics of manipulation and fraud. Let's truly uncover and expose these 2 money laundering schemes!
